Wardens of the Realms & Royal Guards Unit
Standard Meeting place for event at Castle Britannia in Trammel.
Wardens of the Realms:
Aoifa the Swordmaiden has been assigned by Queen Dawn to defend the greater domains from marauding monsters, bandits and other ?evil doers? who would seek to harm the good folk of the realms. Seeking to fulfill her duty, Aoifa the Swordmaiden has sent word throughout the lands, calling on the brave adventures, knights, mages and other mighty folk amid the realms who would join her and the ?Wardens of the Realms? in their daunting task.? Assisting the Wardens of the Realms also are the Royal Guards, commanded by Queen Dawn herself as the Sovereign of Britannia.
When a report of marauding monsters or other wrong doings is received by Aoifa the Swordmaiden, she will call forth to the Wardens of the Realms and issue a command for them to sally forth and defend the region under threat. Initially the Wardens of the Realms and their allies will meet at Castle Britannia, in the Throne Room, to get their orders and any needed instructions from Aoifa the Swordmaiden. Then they shall all travel to the location of the unrest and attempt to clear out any malicious intruders.
As a reward for their service to the realms, each participant who goes forth in the name of the Wardens of the Realms cause has a chance to earn specific ranks within the Wardens of the Realms, Royal Guards elite unit and even become a Knight of the Realm! Players may earn ranks within the unit by proving their valor in defense of the realms during missions that are given out by Aoifa the Swordmaiden. During each official mission event, a total of five ?A Proof of Valor? scrolls will drop off of the various monsters encountered during the event. Should a player find and obtain one of these scrolls, they may then return it to Aoifa the Swordmaiden for their just reward.
To earn additional Ranks within the units, players may gather as many of these ?A Proof of a Valor? scrolls as they might find during the missions, then return and present them to Aoifa the Swordmaiden as proof of their valor. In doing so on each mission, the players who have gathered the scrolls shall have their unit ranks updated with a higher rank accordingly. Additionally, occasional ?Rare Items? will also be dropped from the monsters, unique to each event; these rare items may be kept as trophies by the players who shall find them.
All official player rankings will be listed on the official Sonoma website, on this page below.
Wardens of the Realms Ranks:
In order to earn the initial rank within the Wardens of the Realms unit, the ?A Warden of the Realms, Rank 1?, a player must obtain one of the ?A Proof of a Valor? scrolls during one of the missions and turn it in to Aoifa the Swordmaiden after the event.
When a player has already achieved their initial rank, then should they again obtain an additional ?A Proof of Valor? scroll, they must turn in the newly found scroll (or scrolls) found during that event to Aoifa the Swordmaiden. In exchange for proving their valor in defense of the realms, they will be promoted within the Wardens of the Realms unit.
Note: Each ?A Proof of Valor? scroll will have a coded label on them, thus their value as a reward item is specific to the event in which it was dropped. As such, scrolls turned in at a later event would not earn the possessor any reward.
Looting Protocols: To avoid having players with ?young? status simply roam about looting the corpses of slain monsters (without the fear of being attacked due to their ?young? status) and obtain the ?A Proof of Valor Scrolls?; the monsters which drop the scrolls shall have added to them a script which will only allow those who do ?significant? damage to them to loot the items dropped. Thus even when their corpses decay, players who have not attacked and dealt significant damage to them shall not be allowed to loot their drop items.
